How to choose a crypto exchanger without losing money: five things to check

Jul 29, 2026

There are dozens of exchangers, and not all of them are transparent about fees, limits, and AML policy. Here are five concrete things to check before sending a deposit anywhere.

How to exchange USDT for rubles: via SBP, card, or Sberbank

You can exchange USDT for Russian rubles directly, without selling on an exchange first: the service accepts a USDT deposit and transfers rubles to the details you provide — via SBP, to a bank card, or to a Sberbank account, either as a regular transfer or instantly.

What ruble payout options exist

YellowChanger offers six ruble payout options: regular SBP, instant SBP, regular card, instant card, regular Sberbank transfer, and instant Sberbank transfer. SBP covers transfers to Sber, Tinkoff, Alfa-Bank, Raiffeisen, Pochta Bank, OZON Bank and YooMoney.

The difference between regular and instant SBP

In "Green" mode, the service fee for a regular SBP payout starts at 2.5% at the base tier and drops to 2.3% under the loyalty program and promo codes. Instant SBP in "Green" mode starts at 4.5%, also discountable with a promo code. In "Yellow" mode the fee is fixed regardless of tier: 3% for a regular transfer and 5% for an instant one. The gap between regular and instant SBP in either mode is the cost of the transfer being processed without waiting for the standard payout window.

Regular SBP and instant SBP on YellowChanger aren't the same service at two prices — they're two different processing queues, and the higher fee on the instant option pays for speed, not a lower priority for the regular one.

If you first exchange another cryptocurrency into USDT and then cash out to rubles, a separate crypto-to-crypto exchange fee applies — starting at 0.6% at the base tier, dropping to as low as 0.2% under the loyalty program as monthly volume grows.

How the exchange works

The USDT (TRC20) → rubles via SBP pair works the same way as any crypto-to-crypto exchange: enter the USDT amount, provide the phone number or SBP details, send the deposit to the address you're given. No identity verification is required — instead of KYC, an AML check screens the sending address, and low-risk payouts clear without manual review. If a card or direct Sberbank transfer is more convenient, the same logic applies to the USDT → card and USDT → Sberbank pairs.

FAQ

Can I cash out USDT to rubles without verification?

Yes, no KYC is required — only the sending address is checked under the AML policy.

How is instant SBP different from regular SBP?

By fee: regular SBP is cheaper — from 2.5% in "Green" mode (down to 2.3% with loyalty and promo codes) and 3% in "Yellow"; instant is from 4.5% in "Green" and 5% in "Yellow", in exchange for processing without the standard payout window.

Which banks does SBP support on YellowChanger?

Sber, Tinkoff, Alfa-Bank, Raiffeisen, Pochta Bank, OZON Bank and YooMoney.

Can I cash out to rubles from a currency other than USDT?

Yes, the ruble payout works with other supported currencies too — the principle is the same, only the source pair changes.
